About Japan Breeder Auction

This Japan Breeder Auction platform is a collaboration among several breeders from the Niigata Prefecture in Japan. This platform was initiated in 2023 with four individual websites for the breeders Isa Koi Farm, Shinoda Koi Farm, Odakan Niigata and Maruhiro Koi Farm. After the initial auctions, there emerged a desire to launch one platform for these breeders. Following this decision, in 2024, several more breeders from the Niigata Prefecture joined this platform. Which brings the count to 11 affiliated breeders in the spring of 2024.

The participating breeders select, photograph, and film their koi themselves.

Sales are conducted directly from the affiliated breeders and proceed through the exporters with whom these breeders collaborate. Dealers worldwide who export their koi with the affiliated exporters can obtain an account to place bids themselves.

Hobbyists from around the world can view all the koi on offer and, in the case of an auction, can only see the starting price. They cannot create an account. To purchase koi, they will need to contact their dealer.
